I’m a London-based freelance writer with a relentless interest in everything concerning food and drink.

A formative spell at Darina Allen’s cookery school, Ballymaloe, left me with a burning ambition to spend my days churning butter; but after adding an English degree and a couple of wine courses to my bow I thought it better to put them into practice until such a day arrives.

After a stint as features writer at Fresh Escapes magazine – where I ate my way from Phuket to Padstow before typing up my articles with exotically stained fingers – my most recent staff position was with Square Meal and its sister drinks title, Imbibe.

When I’m not apron clad, or talking about when I next will be, I can be found beekeeping, ordering things with Campari in them and generally tending to my greed.
